Javit is the convention center with 760,000 square feet of flexible exhibition space along the scenic Hudson River and a historic expansion project underway. In this case, we faced hard-to-reach areas across the building. With the aid of construction’s peculiarities and the manual method, we’ve met all the expectations of our partner.
Our team used a 165-foot spider lift that could pass through the building’s double doors and gave us access to some of the most difficult heights. Then, the washer used manual washing techniques. Briefly, handwashing is the most effective, but at the same time, labor-intensive. The cleaner, using special devices, washes each window, removing difficult dirt with a squeegee, and finally wiping dry the frame and glass with a clean, lint-free cloth. In this case, the design features made it difficult for our cleaners, and the process took a little longer than usual.
